On the 27th of February, the Lettie Stuart Pottery staff and students from the Pottery School gathered at the serene Kent Beach for a transformative staff retreat. Organized by Lettie Stuart Pottery, the event was a perfect blend of reflection, planning, and team bonding, setting the tone for a productive and inspiring year ahead.
The day began with an opening prayer, followed by a warm welcome address from representatives of SLADEA and Lettie Stuart Management. The retreat provided an opportunity to reflect on the center’s previous activities and annual performance, celebrating achievements while identifying areas for growth.
A key highlight was the discussion on the importance of the retreat to the team. It served as a reminder of the collective vision and mission that bind the Lettie Stuart Pottery community together. The team also reflected on the center’s vision for the coming years, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and community impact.
The retreat included a Terms of Reference (TOR) session, where roles and responsibilities were clarified, ensuring alignment and accountability. This was followed by a collaborative work plan session, where actionable goals were set to guide the center’s activities in the months ahead.
After a delicious lunch, the team engaged in a budget projection session for 2025, laying the groundwork for financial planning and resource allocation. The day concluded on a high note with games and laughter, fostering camaraderie and strengthening the bonds within the team.
This retreat was more than just a meeting—it was a celebration of unity, purpose, and progress. As Lettie Stuart Pottery looks to the future, Aurora Foundation remains committed to empowering Lettie Stuart Pottery’s staff and students, ensuring the center continues to thrive as a hub of creativity and community development.
