Empowering Girls in STEM: A Leadership Seminar Sponsored by Aurora Foundation

26.04.24

We are thrilled to share the success of the recent Leadership Seminar sponsored by Aurora Foundation, held in celebration of the International Girls in ICT Day. On April 25th, 2024, at the STEM Center Amphitheatre, located at 3 Kabba street Lumpa Waterloo, one hundred and fifty (150) girls from across the entire rural district gathered to participate in this empowering event.

Themed „Leadership,“ the seminar aimed to underscore the critical need for strong female role models in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers. Organized by Aurora Foundation, the event served as a creative platform for young girls to embrace the forefront of the high-tech field in their communities and the nation as a whole.

Highlighting the seminar were speeches from three talented young girls actively engaged in the ICT space. Their willingness to share their experiences and insights with the community served as a beacon of inspiration for all in attendance. Witnessing such passionate role models sparked enthusiasm and determination among the girls within the community, encouraging them to pursue their interests in ICT fearlessly.

At Aurora Foundation, we remain committed to empowering girls in STEM and fostering leadership qualities within them. Together, let’s continue to break barriers and pave the way for a more inclusive and innovative future.
