A famous opera by Mozart, The Magic Flute appeals to people of all generations and perhaps, particularly to children. It is therefore often used as a conduit through which children are introduced to the opera.

Until now, there has not been a treat tradition of teaching children about the magic world of opera. The idea behind this project is to publish an illustrated children’s book about The Magic Flute with an accompanying sound disc. The material will be used in music education throughout Iceland.

The people behind the publication are Edda Austmann, Pamela De Sensi and Halla Þórlaug Óskarsdóttir.
